Spirit And Truth, Worship That Is Pleasing To God...Spirit And Truth is a traveling worship ministry that is very different. It is based on the words that Jesus shared with the Samaritan woman at the well (John chapter four). After Jesus shared the living water with the woman, she pointed out that her people worshiped God on a mountain and not in Jerusalem as the Jews did. (They were not welcome there as they were considered unclean by the Jews.) Jesus responded by saying that the time will come when God's people will worship everywhere. He went on to describe the method of worship: "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."This ministry will travel and help people to worship where they are whether it is in a local church building, hospital, prison, nursing home, or any other place. The worship service is different in that it is a combination of the Word By Ten interpretive dance ministry and the teaching ministry of this website. It is a free flowing worship service that is totally led by the Holy Spirit. The Word of God is shared through dance as well as the reading and explanation of the Bible in terms that us common people can understand. Testimonies are shared as well as much prayer and praise. So, what does it mean to worship in spirit? It simply means that we do not plan a worship service but we prepare and listen to the Holy Spirit. We constantly study the Word to be prepared to share it in any circumstance. Dance routines are given by God and used as He directs. Then, God simply takes the preparations and puts together a service as it is happening. We trust that He will bring the proper message at the proper time for the people that He brings to participate. So, what does it mean to worship in truth? It means that we believe in the total Word of God and that all of it is useful in helping the believer to be prepared to serve the Lord. (2 Timothy 3:16 & 17) This truth is shared in love so that the body of Christ may be built up and God may be glorified.
