Christian Education Foundation Ministry, Raising Up The Next Generation Of Leaders...

The primary purpose of the Christian Education Foundation Ministry (CEFM) is to promote and provide financial help to young men who want to receive a degree in the Preaching Ministry at a Bible College. We also desire to promote and provide financial assistance to any young man or woman who wants to receive a degree in a Ministry related field at a Bible College.

CEFM is currently working in a seven county area of Illinois that includes: Effingham, Clay, Shelby, Fayette, Jasper, Marion, and Cumberland counties. We seek students to support and our major basis for that support comes from these areas.

We currently have three preaching ministry majors in our program. We are supporting them in an ongoing form of financial assistance and through mentoring. We seek to honor our Lord in these endeavors and make the Gospel come alive in our area because of what our Lord and Savior has done through the cross and the grave. As the apostle Paul tells us, "...If Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith." (1 Corinthians 15:14)

We have also given out scholarships to eight different students that are seeking Bible training to pursue ministry related fields such as Youth Ministry, Missions, Worship, and more. We have students in our preaching program and others that are from churches such as Evergreen Christian in Salem, Ramsey Christian, Christs' Church of Effingham, Red Brush Christian, Cornerstone Christian, and Odin Christian Church.

The Foundation has been in existence for a little over a year and has been seeking the support and prayers of our area so that we can make sure that finances are never an issue, if the Lord is impressing upon an individual to go into ministry.

In March of 2008, Eric Splechter was hired to help and represent the Christian Education Foundation Ministry. He has been given the task of sharing the mission and vision of the foundation in this area of southern and central Illinois. You can have Eric come and preach, share about the foundation, assist in youth ministry development as it applies to your congregation, or in any general leadership development areas. Eric has been a minister for more than ten years and carries experience from Cornerstone Christian Church in Effingham and Cornerstone Christian in Shiloh, Il.
